Jo Plant and her team of stylists enjoy the interaction and bond they have with their clients. Supported not only by the local community, Exile works closely with industry leaders to gain on-going training on the latest international styles, trends and techniques and with more focus on winning awards at shows and competitions, bringing a new creative aspect to the team.
Successful and Disciplined
Jo has been in the hairdressing industry for over 20 years. Jo possesses a wealth of expertise in both precision cutting, balayage and colour correction techniques and is passionate about bringing her innovative approach to Exile. Jo is also a trained makeup artist and has helped clients look beautiful and confident for whatever special occasion they are attending, be it a wedding or school ball.
Our Vision
When Jo established Exile Hair Design back in 2001, with the support of her grandparents, her vision was to make a visit to the hairdressers more than just a hair-cut.
Jo wanted an experience that was tailored to meet the unique and diverse needs of our many clients. Exile brings this vision together with hair and makeup services provided by some of New Zealand’s most talented stylists.
Our Passion
Jo’s enduring passion for the art of fine hairdressing, exceptional customer experience and the understanding of how to build a team-orientated offering, has ensured that Exile Hair Design has become one of Auckland’s most successful hair salons.
We are proud to offer one the best hairdressing experiences in Auckland. We provide a superior range of Schwarzkopf hair care & styling products, client refreshments, a relaxing and friendly environment and beautifully sleek salon. Our clients walk out with not only fabulous hair, but a new lease on life after a relaxing time-out of their busy day.
Location
After almost 17 years at our centrally located Mount Eden site, Exile relocated in April 2019.
Our new location at 29B Ngaroma Road in beautiful Epsom is the perfect spot for your next cut, colour or specialist consultation.
